In-Home Care in Portland

EQC’s in-home care is personal care and companion care at home: help with bathing, dressing and grooming, meals, groceries and errands, household tasks, and time together. It supports daily routines rather than clinical care needs.

Private Duty Nursing and Nurse Delegation

EQC offers two distinct nursing services. Private duty nursing is nursing care for an individual. Nurse delegation concerns specific tasks and depends on a registered nurse’s assessment of the person, the caregiver, the setting and the task.

  • Blanket approval for nursing tasks. Delegation is considered only after an RN assesses the specific person, caregiver, setting and task.
  • A payment arrangement. “Private duty” names the service; it doesn’t mean private pay or establish insurance coverage.

In-Home Occupational Therapy for Older Adults

EQC’s occupational therapy focuses on older adults and the activities that matter at home: an assessment of daily activities, recommendations for home adaptations and adaptive equipment, and education for family members and caregivers.

  • Therapy for every age. Our occupational therapy focuses on older adults, so confirm age eligibility first.
  • Equipment you need to buy before calling. Recommendations follow an individual assessment.

Pharmacist-Led Medication Management

EQC’s medication management is led by pharmacists. A pharmacist reviews your medications and takes time to discuss your questions, such as instructions, timing and possible interactions.
