Where to start

You don’t have to have all the answers

Many families call us before they know exactly what they need. It helps to think about a few things first, but none of them has to be settled before you get in touch.

Services have different scopes and age requirements. We’ll talk through fit, availability and any assessment or authorization needed before care is arranged.

Your first call

What a first call can cover

A first call can’t confirm program eligibility, covered hours or a start date. Those depend on the program, any assessment and authorization, and availability.

We can talk through

  • Which service fits the help you’re looking for: in-home care, nursing, occupational therapy or pharmacist-led medication management.
  • Whether that service is available where care would happen. Tell us the city.
  • Ways to pay, including Oregon APD, DD services and private pay. Each program decides its own eligibility, covered supports and hours.
  • Whether an assessment or authorization is needed before care can be arranged.
  • The next step, and who else should be part of the conversation.

One step at a time

How care starts

Timing and availability vary with the service, your location and any program requirements.

  1. Tell us what you need

Start with a conversation about the support you are exploring and the routines that matter to you.

  2. Explore your options

Discuss appropriate services, assessment and any eligibility or authorization requirements with EQC.

  3. Begin your care journey

Once the required arrangements are completed, discuss how care can begin. Timing and availability vary.
